by offering physical examination, laboratory testing, vision and hearing testing, developmental
testing and immunizations.

CC4C is a care management program for children birth to 5 years of age. Children are referred that have, or are at risk for, chronic physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional conditions that may need health or related services for an extended amount of time. Children are also accepted into the program who do not have a medical home or children who are exposed to toxic stress. Referrals are made for well visits, immunizations, and/or developmental screenings. Information on local resources and programs are offered to families as needed.

The Alexander County Health Department follows the recommended guidelines for immunizations that the ACIP (Advisory Committee of Immunization Practices) and the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and the NC Immunization Laws & Rules.
Cost: Routine childhood vaccinations are paid for by federal and state funds if certain criteria is met. This is to encourage parents to protect their children against vaccine-preventable diseases
